For over 100 years and four generations, the Walthour family has achieved the pinnacle of success in cycling. The name instantly conjures respect in the world’s most elite athletic circles. With numerous national titles and cycling hall of fame inductions, the family and its legacy is cemented in American cycling forever.

The legacy began with Bobby Walthour Sr., better known as the “DIxie Flyer”,. Walthour Sr. is respected as a forefather of cycling in the United States. After winning multiple track cycling titles, he was inducted into the U.S. Cycling Hall of Fame, alongside names like Greg LeMond and Lance Armstrong and is considered one of the best cycling athletes United States history.

Bobby Sr’s son, Bobby Jr and his nephew Jimmy both won multiple road and track cycling championships. Both were inducted into the U.S. Cycling Hall of Fame, Cementing the family’s legacy in cycling forever.
